A new year brings an opportunity for one to contemplate on what has been, make some improvements and then re-orient your direction for the year ahead. At Search The Way we have been doing just that, with one of our first changes being to redesign our logo, to better reflect our goals for the path ahead.
We want to help encourage and support youth, and people of all ages, to discover their true potential in life, to set and achieve high goals, and to keep taking positive steps to develop and grow as a person along the way. Our new logo through it's symbolism encapsulates all of this by reflecting what we believe is important as an organisation . For instance, the maunga (mountain) represents the foundation of wisdom passed on from one generation to the next, taking on personal and team challenges, setting high goals, gaining achievements and enjoying the great outdoors (nature's own ultimate classroom). The koru represents maintaining perpetual movement, finding new directions and pathways, being in harmony with others, inner growth and new life. The tangata hikoi (tramper/hiker) represents one who is prepared to take positive steps towards set goals, showing resilience and perseverance, having self and team reliance, leading with responsibility, having the willingness to explore new experiences and staying On Track.
Search The Way wishes all programme participants and supporters every success ahead in your chosen paths for this year. Build on what you have learnt from past years and from others, never stop learning and keep moving forward - we know you can achieve great heights! "Whāia te mātauranga hei oranga mō koutou" (Seek after learning for the sake of your wellbeing).
